DANGEROUS APPROACH.
Positive: The views were fine. The place was spacious and the kitchen facilities were fine. There was a decent home-built barbecue. Negative: We had to leave half way through as access by road was dangerous up a very steep gravel drive via a very sharp hairpin bend on a busy fast road. We had a couple of near misses, one of which caused a puncture and this caused us to return to the airport to get a different car, a long round trip!. It spoilt our time staying there so, as your records will show, we had to make a second booking.. We sent a detailed description to SLEEPAWAYS but have not received a reply.

ACCESS DIFFICULT
This property is situated next to a well used and fast road. It is challenging to find and get to up a steep road. A 4 wheel drive vehicle would help. Traffic noise is noticeable, especially at weekends. The owners are contactable by CCTV and live next doors.

Positive: No comment Negative: Die unmittelbare Lage an der stark befahrenen GC-200.. Entsprechender Lärm besonders durch die vielen LKW. Am Wochenende wurde dann noch eine Motorradrennstrecke daraus.Die Aussicht auf ein verlassenes Gehöft.Die primitive, heruntergekommene und ungemütliche Ausstattung.Die lästigen Katzen auf der Veranda.Die nervigen Nachrichten der Verwaltungsgesellschaft mit Sitz in London. Nach der Buchung müsste ich eine Unzahl von Nachrichten ertragen. Besonders nervig war das Check-in Verfahren. Wir mussten sogar Fotos unserer Personalausweise übersenden ohne zu wissen, was die Gesellschaft damit macht.Es ist mir völlig unverständlich, wie es bei booking.com zu seiner guten Bewertung gekommen ist.

Terraza con excelentes vistas
Positive: La terraza y sus vistas al mar. El pueblo donde se encuentra la casa es muy tranquilo, hay un bar en el pueblo donde se come muy bien y el propietario es muy agradable. Está ubicado al norte de la isla, lugar tranquilo y fuera de las masificaciones de turistas. Desayunamos todos los días en la terraza y se estaba de maravilla. Negative: Estuvimos muy bien, la casa es amplia para dos personas, como punto a mejorar, pero esto es criterio particular, creo que estaría más bonita toda pintada de blanco y simplificando decoración: cortinas, cuadros, etc. pero porque a mí en particular me gustan los lugares sencillos.

A home away from home
Positive: Private terrace with amazing bbq,everything is well thought out and comfortable,views around are stunning, location is perfect if you want to be away from tourists and feel like a local, the apartment isn't 5 stars modern but charming and cozy. One of the best hiking routes in GC El Risco - Agaete straight from your doorstep. The apartment is spotless clean. Private parking on private driveway. Owner is super friendly and left us some home grown tomatoes and lemons :) Bonus of many friendly cats around so please do bring some food for them too when you visit. The road to reach the town of El Risco is also stunning, follow your sat nav and enjoy the views! Negative: We liked everything, good value for money.

La casa enorme y preciosa, salón enorme, cocina totalmente equipada, baño completo, zona muy tranquila, con preciosas vistas, todo correcto. Lo único que comentaría es que para llegar a la casa hay una carretera de 20 minutos con curvas muy peligrosas. Tienes que tener coche para poder desplazarte a ver el resto de illa.

Die Wohnung war sauber. Die Gegend hat uns gefallen. Nächster Ort 15 Minuten mit Auto. Zum Meer 20 Minuten zu Fuß oder 7 Minuten mit Auto. Sauberer wenig frequentierter Strand. (Sand + grobe Kiesel) Negativ : eine sehr laute Hauptstrasse mit starkem Verkehr (teilweise als Motorrad Rennstrecke gebraucht.) LKW Verkehr direkt an der Wohnung vorbei. Moskitonetz an den Fenstern wäre von Vorteil.

Positive: Ruim appartement met fijne sfeer, midden in het locale leven ver van het toerisme. Privé terras met prachtig uitzicht. De hangmat is echt super! Natuur en strand vanuit het huisje. Met zorg schoongemaakt en alle belangrijke dingen die je nodig hebt, zijn er. Royale keuken met alle voorzieningen, fijn! Negative: Als je complete stilte zoekt is dit misschien niet de goede plek; andere bewoners zijn hoorbaar, de weg kan druk zijn en ‘s nachts is het door geiten en honden ook niet altijd stil. Sommige dingen zijn aan vernieuwing toe, maar alles werkt en is bruikbaar. Indien je het eiland wil zien, zul je door de locatie veel kilometers maken.

Carretera perdida al descanso y paz.
Positive: La tranquilidad, vistas , terraza exterior, aparcamiento delante de casa, cama cómoda y un espacio considerable. Negative: La ubicación, ya que para llegar los últimos 15 Km son de curvas estrechas y con las obras de la autovía concurrencia de camiones hacíendose pesado. Supermercados lejos a 20 km. Y dada su orientación durante prácticamente toda la semana soplaba el viento con fuerza.

La estancia fue buena. No obstante, la llegada al lugar no es tan fácil. En El Risco no hay cober...
La estancia fue buena. No obstante, la llegada al lugar no es tan fácil. En El Risco no hay cobertura, tampoco señal de internet móvil por lo que sino se pregunta es muy difícil encontrarlo. Antes de ingresar y para que te den la clave de acceso te obligan a registrarte en una plataforma (lo que no te indican con anterioridad) por lo que si has llegado al lugar y no tienes internet tendrás que regresar a Agaete para tener cobertura. Agaete está a 25 minutos en coche desde El Risco. El lugar no está ni bien ni mal, pero podría mejorar mucho. Recomiendo que pongan un extractor de olores y que limpien los muebles de la cocina pues todos los cajones tienen grasa pegada de mucho tiempo que no limpian a fondo. Tuve que buscar un pendiente que se me cayó debajo de la cama y me encontré una lentilla usada, yo no uso lentillas. Debajo del sofá suciedad y polvo y por la noche hay cucarachas, no sé si entran de fuera o ya están dentro.

Positive: Erg schoon, ruim voor twee personen. Negative: De kleine dingen: weinig wc papier, weinig handdoeken, geen kommetjes voor bv yoghurt. De weg onder het terras is inderdaad nadrukkelijk aanwezig maar de nieuwe rondweg is bijna klaar.

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in der Wohnung in El Risco. Die Wohnung ist sehr groß, mit zwei Schlafzimmern, einer sehr großen Küche, großem Wohnzimmer mit großer Couch und einer schönen, überdachten Außenterrasse mit tollem Ausblick auf Berge und Meer. Der nächste Strand ist nur zwei Minuten entfernt und im Ort startet eine kleine Wanderung. Im Ort selbst gibt es ein kleines Restaurant. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es 15 Minuten entfernt in La Aldea oder in Agaete. Die Eigentümer sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit - es gab ein kleines Problem mit der Toilettenspülung, das sofort behoben wurde. Was man wissen sollte: die Wohnung ist in den Wintermonaten, auch durch den Steinboden, etwas kalt. Man muss sich also etwas wärmer anziehen bzw. die dicke extra Decke nachts nutzen, falls man zum Frieren neigt. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, sehr authentisch in einer Wohnung von super netten Einheimischen.

Positive: Hübsche und geräumige Wohnung. Landschaftlich geradezu spektakuläre Lage. Leider demnächst direkt unter der derzeit im Bau befindlichen Schnellstraße. Negative: Liegt direkt an der Durchfahrtstraße, daher zeitweise sehr laut (besonders am Wochenende - beliebte Motorradroute). Etwas abgewohnt, manches bedürfte Reparatur (WC Spülung, Herdplatte, Toaster). Betten sind schmal, für 4 Personen ist die Wohnung nicht geeignet.

Positive: Nice large, well lighted apartment with comfortable beds and a well equipped huge kitchen. The larger terrace is covered, which will be very nice during the summer, but in winter it is rather dark and limits the view. Negative: Other reviews state the quiet remote location. However, the apartment is just above a rather busy road. The sleeping room on the roadside is not quiet, and also on the terraces it is quite audible. In several years time this will improve considerable: a bypass is being built. The agency in between booking and the owner (sleepaways) sends to many and often confusing messages. I really prefer to have direkt whatsapp contact with the owner as well. The steep access road was difficult for our rental car (size: economy standard).

Good clean apartment with everything you need and a beautiful view. But I really dislike the communication with random and very long messages with a lot of unnecessary information. Eg they asked for my time of arrivial when in the end I just received a code for the keys.

Wonderful stay in the silence.
For families a bit difficult. The Serpentine roads are the only way to reach this Place. Next Supermarkt by car 15 minutes. Nice Beaches less in this area. Las Canteras 1h driving. The Beaches in the South you arrive over 1,15 h by car. This Place called „El Risco“ its in a nature Reservat. 14 km Serpentine Roads to Agaete, Galdar, Las Palmas. You have a very beautiful view to the ocean every day and to Teneriffa. In the Nights you can hear the Surf! This was incredible and the north of Gran Canaria ist the most beautiful Side of the Island. We loved it.

A magic place to be, we loved it anyway far away from mass tourism.
Positive: The view, to the ocean and Teneriffa the silence to be in the nature and next to the Ocean. In the nights you could hear the surf. No mass tourism and typical place for Hotels etc. One pub and nothings else. Serpentine road you have to the place "El Risco" 14km long to Agaete town and harbour there is no other way as this serpentine road to drive into the direction of Las Palmas, beaches and to get to Maspalomas or Playa del Ingles you have Serpentine Road in the other direction as well. To relax and calm down it was a magic place and you are very close to the nature of this area in the middle of a nature reserve. Barbecue outside we loved it and used it very often. Sitting on the Terrace was wunderful. To La Aldea (10 Minutes away) a very nice and contemplative City you can get fresh food, supermarket and bakery are over there. A litttle beach place you have at La Aledea w/o sand only pebble beach. The host is very kind and very friendly and his tomatoes out of his garden were so delicious very aromatic full of the sun of the Island. His son in law was helpful as well. We had a very good time at this place. Negative: To get to the the beaches in the north and into the south its probably not the right place. By car it takes a long time.

This is a place for those who want some authenticity and privacy.
Positive: Very private and nicely furnitured appartment, beautiful view both to the sea and mountains. We really enjoyed the grill and outside terrace for morning coffee and evening dinners. The owners were very friendly and willing to assist. Negative: It was a bit tricky to find the entry at the very first time, so some additional signs would be helpful.
